Subject: VAUXHALL OMEGA 3.2 V6 24V Elite Auto estate

Hi does anyone know if the VAUXHALL OMEGA 3.2 V6 24V Elite Auto estate will tow a 2003 Bailey Senator Wyoming as this car is not listed. I need to replace our Renault Grand espace 2002 2.2 dci and I am struggling to find anything other than a 4 x 4 that will tow the bailey and reverse it up our steep drive. Many thanks.

You could take the Opel Omega 3.0i MV6 auto and change power and torque into 160 kW @ 6000 rpm - 290 @ 3400 rpm. The kerb weight of the estate is around 1700 kg. The auto box has only 4 gears and the car is very thirsty compared to the diesel Espace. Reversing up hill can be a struggle with a manual (clutch) car, and an auto makes that more easy. But be aware that a torque converter gets very hot under these circumstances also. How it will perform during reversing I don't know, a 4x4 with low gear is by far better equipped for this.
